Maundy Thursday Service

On Thursday, April 2, we honor Christ’s Novum Mandatum – his new mandate given to his disciples at the last supper. That night, that sacred final night of his life, Christ commanded his disciples Love one another as I have loved you. The gravity of the commandment was not in the words alone, but rather in the life of active love Christ had demonstrated throughout his years on earth. The disciples had witnessed Christ’s love-they knew the weighty task Christ set before them that Maundy evening.

We will meet at 7 pm in the Sanctuary to witness a dramatic portrayal of the Last Supper and to contemplate in music and spoken word the gravity of the final meal Jesus took with his disciples. We will also partake of Communion together. This is a family style service and we will not be providing childcare.

Easter Sunday

Join us with your family on Easter Sunday, April 5, at 8:30am or 10:300am! Both services are in the main sanctuary and will be identical.  On that note: We will need about 300 people who normally attend the 10:30am service to come at 8:30am on Easter.  This will help make lots of room for visitors and additional family members attending that day.  Kids ages 5th grade and younger are welcome to meet us downstairs in the fellowship hall as we take an incredible journey through the Easter Story during both services. Please note that all Sunday Classes are suspended that day.

Ladies Spring Brunch

LADIES – SPRING IS HERE!  It’s time to get ready for the Ladies Spring Brunch! Saturday May 9th from 9:30 to noon at Pinehurst Country Club. Ladies $24, Young Ladies (6-12) $14. Ticket sales begin this Sunday, March 29th in the main foyer.

We Need Volunteers

IGNITE Children’s Ministries needs your help in the Early Childhood Department so please consider committing one hour a month to helping in Children’s Ministry. No experience is necessary, you just need to love kids and want to share the love of Christ with them! To apply to help, please contact Charlene or call her at 303.225.0701. Thank you!

Current Sermon Series

Everyone loves a good story.  From the small child who wants to read stories before bed to the adult who looks forward to the newest installment of their favorite trilogy, stories have a way of capturing our hearts, minds, and imaginations in a way that nothing else can.

Maybe that is true because whether you recognize it or not, you have a story.  Your life, with all of its’ ups and downs, highs and lows, is an incredibly important and intricate story.  It’s a story that others need to hear and that isn’t quite done yet.  But more than that, your story is part of a much grander and greater story – The Story of God.  The moment God spoke creation into existence, he began telling a story – a story of love, loss, and ultimately abundant life. Although at times the Bible can seem overwhelming and a bit out dated, the truth is that the Bible is actually The Story of God – a story that is unlike all others and that helps make sense of and give meaning to our own story.

Join us over the next few weeks and months as we walk through the Biblical narrative and lose (and ultimately find) ourselves in The Story!
